Terms of service
These terms apply when you request a quote, book an appointment, pay a deposit or use the customer portal with Bluez PowerHouse ("we"). By using those services you agree to them.
Quotes and estimates
- Price ranges shown on the site are typical ranges only. A quote is only the one we send you for your car, and it is written by a person at the shop.
- A quote is based on what you told us and what we can see. If inspection or disassembly shows that more work or different parts are needed, we will tell you and ask for your approval before continuing.
- A quote and the appointment time it proposes are held for 24 hours from when it is sent, unless the quote says otherwise. After that we may offer the time to someone else; the quote itself can still be confirmed if the parts and the time are still available.
Deposits
- We do not take deposits online; a quote is confirmed when you accept it.
- If your plans change, the deposit is refundable. Just let us know.
- Deposits and online payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Appointments, parts and your vehicle
- Please let us know as early as you can if you need to change or cancel an appointment.
- Parts we order for your job are ordered against your approved quote. Special-order parts may not be returnable.
- If you supply your own parts, we install them as supplied and cannot warranty the part itself; labor to replace a failed customer-supplied part is charged.
- Vehicles left with us are kept with reasonable care. Vehicles not collected within a reasonable time after we tell you the work is done may be subject to storage charges.
Payment
The balance of the invoice is due when the vehicle is collected unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Late payments may be subject to a 1.5% monthly service charge.
Warranty and liability
- Our workmanship is warranted as stated on your invoice; parts carry their manufacturer's warranty.
- Performance modifications can affect a manufacturer's warranty, emissions compliance and insurance; you are responsible for checking that the work you ask for is lawful for your vehicle and its use.
- Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work concerned, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Messages and the portal
We sign you in to the portal with a one-time code sent to your email or phone. Keep those devices secure. Texts are only sent after you opt in; reply STOP to opt out. Our privacy policy explains what we keep.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you confirm a quote is the one that applies to that job.
